Commenced a system of Conducting Competency Tests for officers in the Management Cadre of the State Public Service for appointment as Permanent Secretaries. A total of 18 Permanent Secretaries have so far been appointed using this method;
Commenced Housing Scheme for Public Servants to enable them gain access to affordable housing through the National Housing Fund
Absorption of eligible Ex-Staff of ICTA and some from defunct Government Companies/Institute into the State Civil Service.
Recruitment of 19 Physically Challenged persons into the State Civil Service as part of Government’s plan to alleviate the plights of Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD) in Edo State while recruitment of other category of Physically Challenged persons (hearing impaired) is ongoing
Recruitment of 382 staff in collaboration with the Civil Service Commission to fill critical areas of the Civil Service
Conferment of the National Productivity Order of Merit Award on 23 outstanding Officers in the State Public Service with cash gifts and automatic promotion of beneficiaries to their next Salary Grade Level, and these have been effected
Setting up of a Transformation Implementation Plan Team (TIT) to amongst other things, provide the base for the conceptualisation and development of Training Programmes for Officers in the State Public Service for an enhanced service delivery
Conducted Training and Evaluation exercise for eligible officers on GL 08 – 16 for the purpose of promotion in line with present administration’s policy of Evaluation before promotion of Officers in the State Public Service
Ongoing promotion exercise for officers in the State Public Service who are eligible for years 2016 and 2017 promotions.
